Mission Statement

We at Discovery Dance are committed to building and strengthening our students mentally, physically, and artistically. Very young students are nourished and encouraged to discover the wonders of dance and movement, being taught simple and age appropriate exercises, steps and terminology. As students progress, technique is developed in specialized dance forms with individual attention being given to the potential and needs of each unique student at our school.  Our students learn to express themselves creatively through improvisation; to execute dance & tumbling movement with proper skill and technique; proper dance & tumbling terminology; to be captivating performers; to appreciate dance as an art; to feel good about themselves; to have a positive view of lifelong fitness; to develop gracefulness, poise, strength, flexibility, and good posture. We are committed to fostering an environment that will promote diversity, while always choosing music and movement that are appropriate and decent for people of all ages. Most importantly, we want everyone to feel like they are welcome at our studio and to discover the inner joy that comes from dance and  movement.
